bettrends Bulletin - Cheltenham Open Meeting
Lots of jumps fans have already begun looking forward to the Cheltenham Festival in March but we are still a long way to go from the seasonal showpiece at this point in the season. However, we do venture to the home of jumps racing this weekend as Cheltenham holds its Open Meeting from Friday which includes three straight days of top-class action.
As always the bettrends team has got you covered this national hunt season and we kick-start our standalone services this weekend as we cover a minimum of 15 races across the three days. This meeting has been a scene of great success in the past for our team as we secured a whopping 13.5 points of profit on the opening day on the Friday in 2021. This was due in large part to landing a 10/1 NAP in the very first race with Art Approval smoothly winning the opening contest to get our members off to a flyer. The team were then agonisingly close to making the day even better when our selection at 20/1 Singing Banjo, went down by just a neck in the Cross Country and had members on the edge of their seats cheering on our big-priced runner in a tense finish.
Our good run at the meeting continued in the Paddy Power Gold Cup as our team highlighted Midnight Shadow and advised the eventual winner at a nice price of 10/1. Both the Paddy Power Gold Cup and the Greatwood Hurdle are notoriously tricky races for punters to navigate, but our bettrends team will be running our Handicap Breakers service to make sure you have all the trends and tools to pick your way through the field and find that elusive winner.
With five graded races, some ultra-competitive handicaps and a couple of bumpers to boot, we have an extremely exciting weekend on our hands. As always, the bettrends team will be here to offer expert analysis, advise point-based selections and hopefully find members some winners to make sure you have a successful weekend at the home of jumps racing.
